Going to Ocean Sports for New Year has become something of a tradition for many Kenyans. Year after year they descend the seaside resort from all over the country, some hurriedly booking tickets as the date draw nearer. II Covo, Bamburi Beach
The New Year’s Eve beach party has become a tradition at Il Covo. The events offer party seekers a unique New Years’ experience on the beach and in the wave’s s guest mimic jumping into the New Year with the tide. There are fantastic attractions such as a DJ that turns up tunes with their thrilling music. The restaurant showcases a grand fireworks display that is unleashed at midnight to festively usher in the New Year. The party is held on the beach facing the Il Covo restaurant where a stage is erected to house the DJ as they release their rhythm’s to the crowd. To add to the fun, there are professional dancers and make the event even livelier. The beach parties here last until the early hours of the morning even as the tide comes in and the dancers engulfed by the waves.
For those of you who prefer to celebrate the New Year in the capital city. You can opt to have it at the Carnivore. There is an interesting foray of the gourmet feast that provides serious enjoyment and there will be delicious drinks to moisten the throat throughout the night especially with Carnivore’s signature cocktail Dawas. There is a DJ and a live band that ensures that you spend very little time off the dance floor. At midnight fireworks will brighten the sky to usher in the New Year.
